I agree to consider all prospective tenants and buyers on the basis of financial eligibility and tenancy history alone. I will not screen, reject, or discourage any applicant on the basis of their community, background, dietary preferences, profession, marital status, or any factor unrelated to their suitability as a tenant or buyer.
All information I provide — including photos, price, location, area, amenities, and availability — is accurate and up to date. I will not use misleading descriptions or bait-and-switch pricing.
I commit to responding to inquiries within a reasonable time. If a property is no longer available, I will remove or update the listing promptly.
I will use contact details shared by prospective tenants or buyers solely for the purpose of this property transaction. I will not share, sell, or misuse this information.
I understand that any verified complaint of discriminatory behaviour will result in immediate removal of all my listings and a permanent ban from the Ek Makān platform. Ek Makān reserves the right to report egregious cases to relevant authorities.
If you experience or witness a violation of this charter, please contact us immediately. Every report is investigated within 48 hours and action is taken swiftly.

Ek Makān ("we", "our", "the platform") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and role (tenant, owner, or broker).
Listing information: Owners and brokers provide property details, photos, and contact information for their listings.
Inquiry data: When you contact a property owner, we store the message and your contact details to facilitate the transaction.
Usage data: We may collect anonymised data on how users interact with the platform to improve our service.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your contact details are shared with property owners only when you submit an inquiry. Property owner contact details are shared with registered users only after they log in.
Currently, Ek Makān stores data locally in your browser (localStorage). No data is transmitted to external servers at this stage of the platform. As we scale, data will be stored securely on servers located in India, compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Ek Makān does not currently use tracking cookies. We may use essential session storage to maintain your login state within a session.

Property owners and brokers are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of their listings. Ek Makān reserves the right to remove any listing that violates our Inclusion Charter, contains false information, or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

All content on Ek Makān — including the brand name, logo, design, and platform code — is the intellectual property of HAFAR CONTRATECH AI LLP. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.
Ek Makān is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any transaction conducted through it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
